Educate Me!

Since this is my last blog post and the final is nearing it's due date I thought it would be fitting to give my reasons why it is important to be educated. First of all I find that education is a necessary means of stability for all countries, states, and cities. The idea of education has been around for thousands of years and really, is the basis of our existence. Mothers teach their young to hunt, and defend themselves. The Romans taught their citizens how to fight and conquer. You, Julie are teaching me how I can have a second chance at college. But is education more than just the basic learning we so well understand from school? Or is there a higher reasoning behind all this? I find that school, is very important. It is very important that children attend school to learn. School however, is only a stepping block. We learn things that prepare us for college, yet at the same time school allows us to learn how to learn. In other words, beyond the mathematics and the english, school gives us the knowledge we need to keep on learning. We learn more about life, about human conditions and how to interact in society. That is in my opinion the real reason behind education. Sure we learn about Pythagoras and nouns, but becoming educated is about allowing you to realize and learn on your own the things you need to survive. How can a person learn about life lessons if he does not know how to learn at all? Becoming educated it so much more important than just school. It is about setting up your brain to let yourself learn. Not only that, you can now seek more knowledge. The brain once educated will strive to always see more knowledge. This is the essence of becoming educated. So that we can know that we have the power to learn more about everything, we can seek out new knowledge. My grandpa is 85 years old, yet he still learns everyday with a strong ambition to expand his knowledge about life. Being educated is the most important thing you can do for yourself.

Night Of Write

I am staying up late to write this post,
I really want to sleep so I can dream of toast,
Spring Break is what I want the most,
I hope I pass college so I can travel coast to coast,
I am writing this poem to get that A so I don't roast

I really hope the my life turns out well,
or else I will have to walk knee deep in hell,
Why am I writing a poem about random things my brain does dwell?
If all is good the bacon I can smell

Why does the future have to be so dark?
Even when i am getting educated with high marks,
I will try to lessen my footprints in the park,
Hopefully we can give to those that live stark

This is the last stanza i need to write,
So i can lay on my comfy ass bed all night,
Like Bob Marley I won't give up the fight,

Stupid People

I am amazed at how many stupid people there are in this world. Why do we strive for so much pain just so we can call ourselves the "official" leaders of the world. Of course everyone in all nations want to be the leaders of the world because understandably people want the world to go their way. Everything would be perfect if all people just thought like "us" right? Well no. But that is no reason to start a war. There are certain circumstances, The Great War being one of them. But to oppress some country just because we see them differently is just ignorant and stupid. Unfortunately it does not take very smart people to start wars. Furthermore, it ONLY takes intelligent people to end them. How can we keep up this terrible game of king of the hill? If aliens were to come to this Earth, i am not sure they would even want to stay. They might even see the Earth as a planet where the majority of the inhabitants just lull about and fight all the time. The Earth to them would be just one giant civil war. I personally don't know how to end these problems. You could say i am ignorant because i am. But how many people really know they are just that thing?

Places I Been

I have been to many places in my lifetime. I love to travel to Florida to see my grandpa. I must have been there about thirty times (really, i have gone twice a year for a very long time). Spring Break!!! I have also been to Canada a few times just for fun, although i am not much of a skier. But i would have to say my favorite places are London and China. These two places have changed my life because they are just such neat places to experience. China was awesome and i really hope to go back sometime. That's all folks!
